Meet the Practitioner

Atsuko Nakajima: EAMP, LAc, CNA, DVM (Japan)

Background

Atsuko Nakajima is an East Asian Medical Practitioner and a Licensed Acupuncturist, earned her Diploma in Acupuncture from MiddleWay Acupuncture Institute (MWAI) in Mount Vernon, Washington, and also received certification from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

In her oriental medicine training and education at MWAI, she learned multiple approaches to and methods of acupuncture.  Accordingly, she uses various techniques and styles in her treatments depending on the needs of each patient and the nature of each health issue.  She currently performs following methods:

  • Dr. Tan’s Balance Method 
  • Scalp Acupuncture
  • Facial Rejuvenation
  • Auricular Acupuncture 

Atsuko Nakajima has worked in the health services field for many years. In Japan, she earned the equivalent of a U.S. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and worked as a licensed veterinarian for 10 years. After moving to the United States, she earned a nursing aide certification and has worked as a personal care aide for 5 years.  Also, she took 2 year’s worth of pre-nursing courses at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
